Dr. Samir moved to Fujairah as a young doctor and never left. He noticed that many residents in mountain communities delayed care because of distance.
Clinics on wheels
With volunteer nurses he converted a van into a mobile clinic offering screenings for diabetes, blood pressure and vision.
Impact
Thousands of screenings later, the programme has caught hundreds of early-stage conditions and trained dozens of volunteers.
